Balbir Ram Rattan, BJP Spokesperson and former Vice Chairman, said that the results of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections 2026 clearly reflect the growing trust of Mumbai’s voters in the BJP’s long-term vision of inclusive development, transparent governance, and efficient civic administration.
Reacting to the mandate, Balbir Ram Rattan, said that Mumbaikars have voted decisively for progress, accountability, and stability. He said the BMC 2026 results are a strong reflection of the faith that the people of Mumbai have reposed in the BJP’s vision for the future of the metro city.
“This mandate underlines the people’s aspiration for clean, responsive, and development-driven municipal governance,” he added.
He noted that the verdict goes beyond routine electoral success and signals a clear shift in civic politics, where performance and vision have taken precedence over mere rhetoric. The voters have endorsed the BJP’s commitment to strengthening urban infrastructure, improving civic services, and addressing long-pending issues faced by Mumbai’s residents. The results show that citizens are connected with the agenda of development and good governance, and trusted the BJP to deliver, Balbir said.
Balbir Ram Rattan also credited the victory to the relentless efforts of BJP karyakartas and leaders who remained deeply connected with people at the grassroots level. He said the mandate also reflects the growing public confidence in the BJP’s governance model, which emphasizes transparency, fiscal discipline, and the timely execution of development projects.
He further observed that the BMC mandate is in line with the broader national mood that favours development-oriented politics and decisive leadership. “Mumbai, as the country’s financial capital, deserves world-class civic infrastructure and governance. This mandate empowers the BJP to work towards making the city more resilient, sustainable, and globally competitive, he said.
Expressing confidence in the future functioning of the civic bodies, Balbir Ram Rattan said the BJP-led BMC will work with humility and accountability. The trust placed in us is a great responsibility. We are committed to inclusive growth, public participation, and efficient service delivery so that every Mumbaikar benefits from development, he said, reiterating the party’s commitment to the principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.
