Booth level workers are the real backbone of Congress party whose contribution in organising various programmes and disseminating party programmes and policies amongst masses can never be ignored. It is because of this force that Congress has scaled new heights and winning over hearts of masses in J&K State.This was stated by former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla while addressing a booth level workers meet of Gandhi Nagar Assembly Constituency. The meet was well attended by booth level workers who resolved to strengthen the party at all levels and spread party’s programmes in every nook and corner of the State. Prominent among those present on the occasion include Block President Satish Sharma, Block President Amrit Bali, Block President Surinder Singh Dutt, Block President Yudhvir Singh, Block President Jatinder Singh Chib, Block President Mandeep Singh, Corporters Dewerka Choudhary, Corporator Shobat Ali, Pritam Singh, Corporater Bannu Mahajan, Corporater Inderjeet Kour, Dr Ramakant Khajuria, Sukhdev Choudhary, Ward President, Sarpanch, Panch and booth level workers, supporters and others.Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla said be it party’s identified programmes, elections, organising mass contact programmes or organising State as well as Centrally sponsored programmes booth level workers always stay on forefront which is why Congress is able to reach its targets Gandhi Nagar constituency. Appreciating their work, the Bhalla asked them to keep this momentum so that party is able to reach out to masses in a bigger way.Urging party workers, leaders and booth level workers to prepare for coming Assembly polls, Bhalla said that the aim of holding these elections is to decentralise powers and make people partners in developmental works.JKPCC vice president and former minister, Raman Bhalla was the chief guest on the occasion.He also said BJP has no road map for the equitable and harmonious development of the state. While regretting, he said that all the developmental works are on standstill and the problems of the people related to availability of ration, power, water, road connectivity and healthcare are increasing day by day.
“People gave them massive mandate on their tall claims to champion the cause of the region but the BJP and its leadership in the state has failed miserably to serve the interests of Jammu people. Instead of serving the people the BJP is dividing the people by raising emotional and sensitive issues most tactically”, said Bhalla. “BJP has no programme and policy for the welfare of people except to divide the people on communal line,” alleged Bhalla. He said that youth congress would be further strengthened by forming its committees down to booth level and in this way more and more youth will be involved in the party cadre. He urged upon the party Functionaries to strengthen the party further at booth, Halqa and Block levels in state in order to face the challenges.The meeting also hit out at the Central Government for allegedly failing to come upto the expectations of the people in Jammu and Kashmir. “Centre has miserably failed people of Jammu and Kashmir on all counts. The dual standards and political exploitation on the part of BJP stand exposed, the meeting asserted,” the participants, as per the statement, said.The meeting also expressed confidence that Congress Party will counter the falsehood and propaganda by BJP in the forthcoming elections. The Party is hell bent upon to divide people for electoral gains, which will be defeated by Congress Party,” they said. The expansion of the party is possible when we visit the home of masses and aware them about the great hardships of the leaders of the party. The party get strengthened through the grass root at Booth level workers, he said. Moreover he added that the BJP Government in the center failed to work for the welfare of the every citizen of the nation and remained noncommittal to develop each and every corner.
