NEW DELHI, MAY 09
Bose has expanded its series of professional audio speakers in India with the launch of S1 Pro. The new multi-position PA system is priced at Rs 60,624 and will be available through the authorised distributor Luxury Personified LLP.
The S1 Pro can be used as all-in-one PA, floor monitor, practice amplifier and a primary music system. It is said to be designed for singers, musicians and even DJs. The highlight of the device is its performance and portability.
Although the S1 Pro is not water resistant, it weighs 6.8kgs and has a rugged build for durability.
The design of the S1 Pro, as the company says, is a unique one as it lets people use it in four different positions — tilt-back, elevated, mounted or placed on its side. The building sensors inside S1 Pro detects the position and trigger auto EQ, recalibrating the audio output settings.
There are three-channel mixer with independent Tone Match, reverb and EQ controls on two channels and Bluetooth connectivity among other features. Bose explains that the two full-featured channels are designed for live speech or musical performance while the third channel dedicated for prerecorded content via Bluetooth.
It also comes with an optional lithium-ion battery, to play for extra hours. In general, the Bose claims the device can run for approximately six hours. The Bose S1 Pro also has a frequency response of 70 Hz – 16 kHz.
The speaker market is hot these days given that several popular brands are coming up with innovative audio devices. While Bose has debut its S1 Pro in India, JBL launched its Android YV powered soundbar recently. Google and Amazon too brought their Home speakers and Echo Spot speakers in India.
