Inter-Frontier Border Security Force (BSF) Sports meet-Judo Cluster-involving four events of Judo, Wushu, Taekwondo and Wushu got underway at Hargobind Bhatnagar Stadium, BSF Stadium, Paloura, here today.
The four-day event was declared open by chief guest, former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA, Kavinder Gupta amidst interaction with technical officials and senior officers of the BSF.
Speaking to the gathering, he wished the visiting athletes all BSF Frontiers success in the competition ahead. In all, 900 players have arrived for the mega event, including those decorated veterans of sports, holding different ranks in the BSF. Inspector General of hosts, BSF Jammu Frontier, Ram Awtar in his welcome address expressed that as an elite Force, BSF lays extra stress on games and competitions of different disciplines as a regular part of its day-to day functioning. These competitions provide a healthy platform for BSF sportsmen to exhibit their rare talent and skills to be further groomed for National & International championships.
