The Para Basic Course, a highly esteemed training program, was successfully conducted from November 1 to November 25, 2024, at the Army Airborne Training School (AATS), Agra, under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters, Agra. This specialized training, known for its rigor and discipline, provided cadets with the opportunity to develop airborne skills and demonstrate resilience and teamwork. Three cadets from the Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate were part of this distinguished camp and excelled throughout the program:
Sgt Anjana Parihar from Government Degree College (GDC), Kishtwar.
UG Tofail Jan from Government Degree College (GDC), Doda.
Cadet Laxmi Devi from Government Degree College (GDC), Kathua.
Training Highlights:
• 1st November – 14th November : The training began with an intensive phase of ground training, focusing on fundamental skills and techniques required for airborne operations.
• 17th November : A morale-boosting cultural visit to the Taj Mahal provided cadets with a memorable experience and a break from the rigorous schedule.
• 19th November: Ground training culminated in a comprehensive test, including the Ground Training Test and Fan Descent Test, which all cadets successfully completed.
• 20th-22nd November: The highlight of the course was the day jumps at Malpura Drop Zone, where cadets demonstrated their parachuting skills with precision and confidence.
Additionally, cadets had the privilege of interaction with, Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, DG NCC during his visit on 19th November who motivated them with his words of encouragement and inspired them to strive for excellence in all endeavors.The cadets from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate showcased exceptional dedication and determination, bringing pride to their respective colleges and the Directorate.
