In the wake of reactionery wave and widespread protests, demonstrations which have rocked the Tehsil of Majalta following registration of a criminal case against one Mr. Nirmal Kesar (Election agent of JKNPP candidate from DDC Khoon, Manju Devi) under Prevention of Atrocities (SC/ST Act), Mr. Shiv Ram General Secretary BJP Mandal Majalta and Mr. Ashok Bhagat SC President from Majalta have demanded immediate rejection of nomination of Mrs. Manju Devi. It is really a serious and culpable matter that an offence canvassing heinous charges has been formally registered under her election agent.
It is pertinent to mention here that one Mr. Premu S/O Manga R/O Sunaad (Kail) Majalta was brutally assaulted and bad names were given and he was taunted/teased for his caste by Mr. Nirmal Kesar election agent of JKNPP in respect whereof a full fledged FIR stands lodged at P/S Majalta under. As another pimple over the ulcer, JKNPP has addressed a series of press conferences and complaints to the department of police while seeking action against aggrieved schedule caste person with a view to intimidating and terrorizing the schedule castes of the area. Although JKNPP has track record of terrorizing and traumatizing the poor schedule caste people. This time this is the worst travesty of time and place that an election agent of a candidate has been booked under serious offence and candidate and her husband have been trying to browbeat and terrorise an SC complainant which merits immediate rejection of her nomination.
In this very context a series of protests were carried out at Khubban, Nagain, Sundla, Balpur and Bilaspur.
The SC/ST organizations are up in arms against the said move of JKNPP and it is expected that a string of protests are going to mark in the area of Ramnagar in next days. Further , SC community has also decided boycott of JKNPP in these DDC elections.
