BJP MLA Jasrota constituency Rajiv Jasrotia asserted that the Government at the Centre is paying focused attention towards Jammu and Kashmir to ensure equitable development besides welfare and prosperity of the people of this traumatized region.He was speaking after commissioning WSS worth Rs 8.61 cr at Hatli and Tridwan in presence of prominent citizens including DDC Shaveta, Sarpanch Bhopinder, Sarpanch Dhyan Singh, Sarpanch Romesh Singh, Sarpanch Punjab Singh, Sarpanch Uttam Singh , Gandharb Singh , Arjun Singh , Balbir Singh, Raghubir Singh.
Jasrotia speaking on the occasion said that after being given a chance to serve as the Legislator by the public, he set a goal for himself to develop hitherto neglected pockets of Jasrota Assembly Segment.
He said that all weather road, electricity and drinking water facility for each habitation is his cherished dream and he is promise bound for it.He said that BJP stands fully committed to equitable development of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. “The Union Government is paying focussed attention to Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory and is determined to carry out developmental activities in every nook and corner of this sensitive region,” he asserted.
Jasrotia said that Modi led Government at the Centre has prioritised the overall development of all the areas without any rural-urban or other discrimination with main focus on roads and sanitation as roads ensure the smooth supply of basic essentials as well as other commodities for the ease of living of the people while good sanitation ensures good health. He said that the government stands fully committed to ensure the improvement of roads, lanes and drains infrastructure in all the areas.
Later, Jasrotia interacted with the people of the area and took stock of their problems and issues on the occasion.
After giving them a patient hearing, he assured to get their grievances addressed at the earliest by taking up the same with the concerned authorities.
He appealed to the people to further strengthen the hands of PM Narendra Modi for equitable development of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. Speaking on the occasion, Jasrotia said with WSS in the area, this civic edifice in the area, the people will get respite from the problems being faced by them, particularly in the rainy season.
He said this was a long pending demand of the area which has been fulfilled today.He said the government has launched several development works to improve the overall condition of lanes and drains, link roads, and other amenities in neglected areas and it is now matter of days when the localities in the vicinity would become models for others to follow.
Jasrotia asked locals to identify developmental needs of their respective areas so that the works can be enlisted for execution by the Government on priority. He assured that all pending development works in the area including macadamization of inner roads, repairing and construction of lanes and drains and other development works of the area would be fulfilled in a phased manner.
He further assured that no compromise shall be made on quality of construction and asked people to act as ears and eyes of each and every development work to keep an eye on the things.He also stressed upon locals to avail benefits under various flagship welfare schemes and programmes launched by the UT and central governments.
