CEO Convenes Meeting of Heads of Schools to Enhance Students’ Engagement during Summer Vacations

In a proactive move to enhance students’ engagement and learning continuity during the upcoming summer vacations, CEO Poonch Bishamber Dass convened a crucial meeting with all Heads of Guidance centres and Heads of Schools of Poonch Zone in the conference Hall of CEO Office Poonch here today. The meeting, attended by DEPO Poonch, N M Suri, ZEO Poonch, Kouser Parveen and ZEPO Poonch, Vijay Kumar focused on issuing necessary directions to keep students academically active during the break.
CEO emphasized the importance of project-based learning and instructed that each student should be assigned two projects related to their subjects. These projects are to be completed during the vacations and presented upon the students’ return. This initiative aims to ensure that students remain intellectually stimulated and productive during the break.
In his address, CEO Poonch also highlighted the necessity for teachers to develop teaching-learning materials (TLM) during the vacation period. He specifically commended the teachers who secured the top five positions at the cluster level TLM exhibitions concluded recently, urging them to present their TLM at the district-level exhibition scheduled for the second week of June.
Furthermore, the CEO encouraged teachers to maintain regular contact with their students, providing guidance and support for their summer projects.
He stressed the significance of this continuous engagement in fostering a supportive learning environment. Teachers were also asked to remain as guides for their students during the winter breaks, ensuring ongoing educational support throughout the year.
Additional instructions were issued regarding the maintenance of school facilities during the vacation period. Heads of schools were directed to ensure regular visits to their institutions to oversee school upkeep and security. They were also reminded about the timely submission of required information to the education department.
