J&K Grameen Bank today launched its own Micro-ATM Terminals for the usage of its esteemed customers. The Micro-ATM Terminal was launched by Chairman Mr.Janak Raj Angural in presence of newly appointed Chairman Mr.Sudhir Gupta at Bank’s Head Office Narwal. Bank’s first Micro-ATM Device was provided to one of the Business Correspondents of the Bank. Chairman congratulated the team of Digital & Alternative Channel Cell / IT Department / Financial Inclusion Department for all the diligence and efforts made by them. He expressed his gratification in fulfilling the long pending demand of the Business Correspondents for the Micro-ATM Devices. Micro ATM is meant to be a device that is used by the Business Correspondents (BC) to deliver basic banking services. Chairman further said the platform will enable Business Correspondents to conduct instant transactions. The micro platform will enable function through low cost devices (micro ATMs) that will be connected to banks across the UT of J&K. This would enable a person to instantly deposit or withdraw funds regardless of the bank associated with a particular BC. This device would be made available at every BC. Customers would just have to get their identity authenticated and withdraw or put money into their bank accounts.
This money will come from the cash drawer of the BC. Essentially, BCs will act as bank for the customers and all they need to do is verify the authenticity of customer using customers’ UID. The basic transaction types, to be supported by micro ATM, are Deposit, Withdrawal, Fund transfer and Balance enquiry. Mr.Sudhir Gupta articulated appreciation towards the Micro-ATM team and lauds the efforts of the entire staff involved. The launch of Bank’s Micro ATM Terminals shall absolutely boost the morale of Bank’s customers, as they shall be provided to the Business Correspondents of the Bank, who shall deliver the basic Banking Services to the remotest villages of the UT.
Sh.Davinder Bali, General Manager JKGB thanked the clientele of the Bank for being associated with the Bank and putting trust in Bank’s digital services. He emphasized that through the usage of Micro-ATMs, the business of the Bank shall definitely rise.
Sh. D.D.Gupta, Chief AI&V also expressed his gratitude over the commencing of Bank’s own Micro-ATM Devices and congratulated the entire staff of all the concerned Teams for their strenuous efforts.
Ms.Jyotsna Garib, Incharge Digital & Alternate Channels of the Bank also thanked the management of the Bank for their incessant and consistent directions towards digitization of the Bank. She also thanked the technical members of the Micro-ATM Team viz : Mr.Navjot Singh, Mr.Rahul Pandit, Ms.Anuradha Bhat for their expeditious hard work and dedication. She assured that Bank shall continuously endeavor in bringing the paramount digital services to its customers.
Mr.Mukul Mehta, HOD Information & Technology assured that J&K Grameen Bank has been continuously engaging into latest digital services and bringing up the best digital products to its esteemed customers and will continue the same in future also.
Presently J&K Grameen Bank Offers digital products to its customers as ::- Mobile Banking Application, RuPay Debit Cards , Kisan Cards, PMJDY Debit Cards, NEFT/ RTGS, POS, eCOM, IMPS, SMS Alerts, BHIM UPI, PFMS, ABPS and DBT.
Mr.Shamsher Singh, HOD Financial Inclusion and Insurance Deptt, also expressed his gratitude towards the Bank’s management and the staff associated with the Project. The availability of Micro-ATMs shall definitely increase the business of the Bank in this tough period of hour amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
