Jammu, Dec 3:
Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali today inspected the ongoing work of New Assembly complex along with various officers. The Chairman directed the officers of Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC), executing agency of the project, to speed up the pace of work and complete it in a stipulated time-frame. While suggesting some modifications in the project, he directed the concerned to ensure use of standard material and judicious use of funds. Chairman also directed Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Department to immediately release the required funds so that the work on the project is completed within stipulated time. He also inspected construction work of Council hall in the complex and directed the concerned construction agencies for modifications of the hall. The Chairman was informed that the complex is coming up over an area of 252484 sft, comprising 6 floors, parking facilities, dispensary, canteen, office chambers for Chief Minister, press and visitor’s gallery, library, assembly hall, Speaker’s and Deputy Speaker’s chambers, Law Minister and Finance Minister’s chambers, Leader of Opposition chamber and Chairman and Deputy Chairman chambers. He was accompanied by Member Legislative Council, Charanjeet Singh Khalsa, Managing Director JKPCC, M Raju, Director Estates, Tariq Hussain Ganie, Special Secretary Legislative Council Ishfaq Ahmad Wani, Additional Secretary Law, MK Pandita and senior officers of council Secretariat.
