The District Development Council (DDC) Ramban today reviewed the developmental progress under the District Capex Plan 2024-25 here at a meeting chaired by Chairperson Dr. Shamshad Shan to.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Chairperson Rabia Beig, DDC members, Additional District Development Commissioner Roshan Lal, Chief Planning Officer Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Ashfaq Ahmed and the sectoral officers.
Taking sector wise review, the Chairperson emphasized achieving 100% targets and directed officials to expedite project implementation.
The DDC members highlighted critical priorities, seeking augmentation of healthcare and education infrastructure, construction of new roads to strengthen connectivity, acceleration of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) implementation and enhanced power infrastructure.
A strict deadline of 20 days was set for all departments to demonstrate measurable progress by expediting the allotment and initiation of works, particularly under the Area Development Fund (ADF).
The Chairperson directed the Rural Engineering Wing (REW) to work with full dedication and zeal to achieve tangible results, as a major chunk of the work pertains to the Rural Development Department (RDD).
She expressed displeasure over the slow pace of progress by the RDD engineering wing and instructed the functionaries to liaise with all Block Development Officers (BDOs) to ensure swift progress on pending projects.
Earlier, the CPO provided a detailed presentation on the district’s developmental achievements across various departments.
