JAMMU, Dec 20:
Champions Club and Aman Khalsa Lachipora won their respective matches to advance in the ongoing Ist Chaar Sahabzade Hockey Tournament, organised by Akali Singh Club under the aegis of Hockey J&K at K K Hakhu Stadium, here today.
In the first match, Champions Club defeated Young Star Simbal Camp 3-0. Rana Pratap Singh (5th), Tajinder Pal Singh (7th) and Arvin Suryavanshi were the scorers.
Meanwhile, in the second match, Aman Khalsa Lachipora trounced Deshmesh Club Nanak Nagar 5-4 via tie-breaker. In the stipulated time the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
In today’s matches, Kuldeep Singh Raja and Sandeep Singh Wazir were special guests, who encouraged the teams.
The matches officiated by the technical penal including Joginder Singh, Balmeet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Ranjit Singh, Karanjit Singh, Hardeep Singh and R P Singh Sama.
FIXTURE: Young Khalsa Gole Gujral shall take on AKS Digiana at 1.30 pm while Peaks XI shall meet Hiranagar Club at 2.30 pm tomorrow.
