Today last pre-quarterfinal and two quarterfinals of Chhatra Shaheed Memorial Football Tournament, 2018 were played at GGM Science College, Jammu. The last pre-quarterfinal which was played today was Young Rovers FC V/s Climrat FCand the said match was won by Climrat FC by 2-1 score qualifying the team for quarterfinals. The 1st quarterfinal which was played today was Shaheen FC V/s Young Heros FC. First quarterfinal was won by Shaheen FC by 5-1 score. Ravi Sharma, PRO to Chairman, J&K Bank was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Earlier today, last pre-quarterfinal which was played between Young Rovers and Climrat FC was won by Climrat FC by 2-1. During first half of the match, Young Rovers FC was leading with 1-0 with goal scored by Mr. Ujwal but in 2nd half of the match Climrat FC team recovered very well and scored 2 goals, 1st in 49th minute and 2nd in 56th minute of the match by Mr. Pranav and Mr. Dorjay respectively.
1st quarterfinal of the tournament was played between Young Hero FC and Shaheen FC and Shaheen FC qualified for Semi-finals by winning by 5-1.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion include Ramesh Kumar (Vice-President, JKFA, Jammu, Sat Pal (Ex-En, PHE), Charan Dass (Retd. BSNL officer and Vetran Football player) Rajesh Sumbria, Rajan Gupta (Org. Secretary), Sagar Singh, Aman Singh, Atul Singh, Shivam, and Ashu Gupta (Prop. Ashu Book House).
