Chief Education Officer, Jammu visited various schools to monitor school safety

In view of the prevailing bad weather conditions, Chief Education Officer Jammu Sh. Ajeet Sharma along with a team of officers including District Education Planning Officer Jammu Sh. B.D.Sharma, ZEO Jammu Mtr. Rukhsana Kosar and Engineering staff from Jammu East visited various schools of district Jammu. The team monitored the school safety measures taken by the school authorities in order to ensure the safety and security of every single student and the staff members.
The team visited SRML HSS Parade, GMHSS Mubarak Mandi, HS Dogra Hall, HS Kachi Chawani, MS Kachi Chawani and took stringent steps by shifting all the students of Pre-Primary , 9th & 10th of HS Dogra Hall to SRML HSS, Prade whereas, all the students of Class Ist to 8th were temporarily shifted to MS Kachi Chawani. Sh. Ajeet Sharma informed that the prevailing bad weather conditions have certainly affected school buildings at some places and therefore the team has visited various schools as per the directions from higher authorities and to make necessary arrangements for affected schools in the nearby schools in order to ensure the safety and security of every individual. He further added that directions have already been issued to Cluster Heads, Principals and ZEOs to take all necessary measures in view of the ongoing inclement weather conditions. He said that the main purpose of today’s visit was to estimate the losses in terms school buildings and to observe the overall environment of the schools. He added that actionable recommendations have been given to all the school heads in order to enhance school effectiveness.
