Chief Justice, Law Minister lay foundation of Advocate General’s Office

JAMMU, APR 25:
Chief Justice (Acting), J&K High Court Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar today laid the foundation stone for construction of Advocate General’s Office at High Court Complex in Jammu.
Justice Janak Raj Kotwal, Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Minister for Law and Justice and Rural Development Abdul Haq Khan, Advocate General, Jahangir Iqbal Ganai and Managing Director, JKPCC VikarShanthoo were present on the occasion.
The first floor of the existing building being constructed by Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC) at the cost of Rs 2.5 crore would be completed by July 31, 2018.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Haq said the government is committed to facilitate speedy delivery of justice and steps are being taken to strengthen the judiciary for timely deliverance of justice.
He said the government is working on developing the infrastructure in courts to provide more working space to the advocates, storage of records and libraries in the Court Complexes.
