When he was young he met cricketer Chris Gayle, but little did he know that years later he would grow up and play next to Chris in the Kings XI Punjab.
Sam Curran had met the West Indies superstar long back and Chris just shared that picture on social media.
Chris shared the picture in which on the one side he is seen posing with a young Sam, who is dressed in his school uniform, and on the other, he is seen with the 20-year-old all-rounder and his now teammate in the IPL.
He wrote: “This is a special moment for any youngster! All I can say is remember what get you where you at today, @samcurran58 DreamBigger GetStronger #BrightFuture Multitalented – I think in the pic I’m looking young but you’re looking younger.Kings”.
After being bought for a whopping Rs 7.2 crore, Curran joined the Punjab-based franchise this year and has already taken the IPL by storm.
On Monday, Curran became the first player to take a hat-trick in the IPL as he led his side to a 14-run win over Delhi Capitals in Mohali.
