J&K State CITU extends warm greeting to all the employees of the state and country as well. Calls upon the working class, all the toiling people, progressive, patriotic people of the country to decisively defeat the Anti-worker Anti-people policies of Modi’s government. Jammu(lst May On the eve of May day 2019, the symbol of International solidarity and unity of the working class, the J&K state committee of CITU organised a massive rally comprising of different unions and associations that is Railway Loading and Unloading Workers Unions, Nirman Mazdoor Union, Coca Cola Workers Union, Chenab Valley Hydro Project Workers Union, ASHA Workers Union, Rehri – Fadi Workers Union- Jammu, Northen Zone Insurance Empolyees Association, in front of press club Jammu.
The workers holding red flags, banners and placards in their hands were shouting slogans for the unity and integrity of the working class of the world.. While addressing the workers Om Parkash, General Secretary, J&K state CITU said the working class all over the world cannot forget sacrifices and achievements of the Heroic struggle of 1886 in Chicago.
He said May day struggle resulted in achieving the rights of the workers for 8 hours working day and the rest 16 hours of the day for rest, cultural activities and for their family life. Pawan Gupta, and Ramesh Chand, the senior leaders of Northern Zones Insurance Employees Association and while addressing the gathering expressed their serious concerns over the price rise, unemployment and corruption in the country.
Besides other, Hari Singh, Sewa Ram, Jagdish Sharma, Jia Lal Parihar, Mohi, Ashok Kumar, Anita Rajput, Sarvan Kumar, also spoke on the this occasion.
