Members of Civic Safaikaramchari Union led by Rinku Gill President of Civic Safaikaramchari Union while staging protest highlighted several demands and urged Commissioner & Mayor of JMC to redress at an earliest. Mr. Rinku Gill stated that the corporation is going to outsource some more wards in addition to the already outsourced in 15 wards. In most 15 wards, which were outsourced by the JMC, then 500 safaikaramchari are working for the past two years, when these wards were outsourced an agreement was made between the contractors and JMC, according to which the contractors had to provide sweeping related tools to the SKC’s which the contractors have not provided any time. They further appealed for the scrapping of outsourcing of wards to put players and reorganistaion of JMC as soon as possible.
