Neena Gupta BJP Corporator Ward No. 50 Channi Himmat & State Vice President BJP Mahilla Morcha while continuing her visit from different sectors of ward on daily basis, reached sector 4 near Mint Leaf Channi Himmat where the locals apprised her about their major issue of sanitation.
Keeping in the view the festive season and to provide better living standards in healthy atmosphere, Neena Gupta immediately ask JMC concerned Officials to lift the dumped garbage on the road side and also told them to take up sweeping of main road, by-lanes, and de-silting of drains at every nook and corner of the roads.
In a matter of very less time, sweepers along with vehicle which is used to lift the garbage, reached on the spot and taken up the cleanliness process.
Neena while speaking on the occasion said that Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India is a landmark programme that will transform the landscape of our country and we are committed to our agenda of “Swachh Bharat” and in this context she appeal the residents that being a responsible citizen of society it is our prior duty also to keep our surroundings clean and green. She said that we have to maintain cleanliness so that there would be no diseases like dengue and malaria.
She requested and appeals the residents to dispose off or throw the garbage at nearby dustbins / containers installed by JMC and make Swachh Bharat Mission a successful mission. She also appealed the public in general to cooperate with Jammu Municipal Corporation in keeping Jammu Clean & Green.
Neena Gupta said that she also appeal to JMC Senior Officials to put emphasis on “micro-level monitoring of day-to-day cleanliness of all area, and lifting of solid waste and also make sure that no garbage is scattered in the public places.
Prof. Bhola Nath, Madhvi Langer, Ishant Gupta, Ashok Gupta, Rajinder Mehta and others were the prominent who were present and accompanied Corporator during tour.
