The Department of Linguistics and Literature, School of Humanities and Liberal Arts, Cluster University of Jammu, successfully concluded its Two-Day International Seminar on ‘Text, Tongue, and Technology: The Changing Face of Humanities (T3)’ on August 22, 2025. The seminar brought together distinguished scholars, researchers, and academicians from across the globe to deliberate on the dynamic intersections of language, literature, and technology. The valedictory session was presided over by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Sr. Prof. K.S. Chandrasekar, who commended the initiative and emphasized the significance of such interdisciplinary dialogues in shaping the future of humanities, education, and research. Guest of Honor, Prof. Umapati Dikshit from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra, offered profound reflections on the theme, underscoring the symbiotic relationship between linguistic traditions and technological progress. The session began with a formal welcome by Ms. Stuti Abrol, followed by a comprehensive seminar report presented by Dr. Reena Salaria, who succinctly highlighted the key insights, deliberations, and conclusions of the 13 plenary sessions and 14 academic sessions. Bouquets and mementos were presented to the dignitaries in recognition of their valuable contributions. Discussions revolved around diverse themes such as digital archives, language preservation technologies, innovations in pedagogy, and ethical challenges in the digital humanities. The event featured eminent plenary speakers including Dr. Loic Renoud (Japan), Dr. Rahul Awasthi (Calcutta), Dr. Serhi Petrenko (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv), Prof. Veena Gupta (University of Jammu), Prof. Sushant Mishra (Nalanda University), Dr. Om Prakash (NEHU), and Prof. Kavita Rastogi (University of Lucknow), among others. Their thought-provoking addresses enriched the seminar by exploring global advancements in technology and their repercussions on language and culture.
