CME on “ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE CONDUCTED “IN JIAR, JAMMU

A world antiobiotic awareness day  cum CME programme on antibiotic resistance was conducted in JIAR on 23rd Nov. 2019. Antibiotic awareness day takes place every November to promote global education on antiobiotics. The PG scholars and the students of Final year BAMS actively participated and attended the CME various poster presentations were exhibited and power point presentations were given by the students and the PG Scholars.

Dr. Twinkle Gupta, Prof. & HOD of PG departments of Kayachikitsa, gave a paper presentation on antibiotic resistance and explained how antibiotics should be used. Dr. Sudesh Gupta Prof. & HOD of PG department of Shalya Tantra emphasized that this campaign cum CME programme highlighted best practices among the general public, health workers and of course the medical students to help stop the further emergence and spread of antibiotic resistance.  The CME programme was celebrated under the supervision of Mrs. Suman Sharma Chairperson of Shri Sain Charitable Trust for higher education and Research. Managing Directors Er. Ravish Sharma, Mr. Ritesh Sharma, Mrs. Japna and Mrs. Jasudha Sharma CEO, Dr. Paramvir Singh Principal, Dr. Nitin Mahajan, Vice Principal of JIAR.

Chairperson Mrs Suman Sharma assured the students that such CMEs will be conducted frequently in the College as these CMEs upgrade the knowledge of students and the faculty also. The whole programme was co-ordinated by Dr. Sudesh Gupta Professor, Dr. Twinkle Gupta, Professor, Dr. Pooja Gupta, Associate Prof. and Dr. Poonam Gupta, Assistant Prof. The vote of thanks was given by Dr. Poonam Gupta.
