The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Training Academy at Nagrota had the privilege of hosting Colonel Adhiraj Singh, Commanding Officer of the Intelligence Unit of White Knight Corps, for an enlightening lecture. The event saw the active participation of 500 cadets from the 5 J&K Battalion NCC of Jammu Group, currently undergoing their Annual Training Camp under Jammu Kashmir & Ladhak Directorate. Colonel Adhiraj Singh delivered a captivating session titled “INDIAN ARMY: A WAY OF LIFE,” engaging the NCC cadets in an interactive dialogue. The lecture primarily focused on illuminating the career prospects within the Army and elucidating the myriad benefits associated with such a career path. In his address, Colonel Adhiraj emphasized that serving in the Indian Army transcends the mere profession of arms; it embodies a way of life deeply rooted in patriotism, honor, and humanity. He reiterated the timeless ethos encapsulated in the Chetwode saying, the bedrock principle of the Indian Military Academy, that the honor of the nation always takes precedence, without exception. Furthermore, Colonel Adhiraj shed light on the substantial investments made by the government towards the development and advancement of Army Officers and Jawans. He said that the moment one steps into the Army, the person has a job satisfaction, is financially stable, gets 80 to 90 days of leave in a year, live in clean cantonments, opportunity to excel in fields of adventure, sports, games, serving in United Nations Missions in foreign countries, admission of his or her siblings on highly reputed Army Public Schools, Sainik Schools, RIMC and various intitutions to pursue Engineering, MBBS, Dental, MBA, Law and various courses. He inspired the NCC cadets that they have opted for NCC while being in School or College and they will outshine the majority of children in their professional life, when it comes in their life.
