Congress has demanded that Lt Governor Manoj Sinha should come out clean and clear over the serious charges leveled by a senior bureaucrat of J&K administration, who has written to the prime minister regarding the issue & sought criminal investigation, into alleged misuse of Govt. money for personal function of the engagement of the son of L.G. Manoj Sinha.
Addressing a Press Conference by PCC Working President Shri Raman Bhalla and Senior Vice President & Chief Spokesperson Shri Ravinder Sharma alongwith Vice Presidents Shri Vinod Sharma and Shri Ved Mahajan said , it is unfortunate that the said complaint of the senior IAS officer is in public domain & in circulation in social media platform for the three days but there is complete silence by the LG Office mainstream media too.
The contents of the complaint written by Mr. Ashok kumar Parmar presently chairman of bureau of public enterprises ( IAS/AGMUT batch 1992) against the LG Manoj Sinha ji are very serious in nature especially misuse of the position & the public exchequer by the LG in his personal function, apart from other charges. The complaint is accompanished by the prima facie evidence in the shape of the letter of demand by the office of Resident Commissioner New Delhi, under the signature of ARC New Delhi, who has written to the PS to LG , that payment made by office of resident commissioner office from state exchequer to the tune of 10,71,605/ (ten lakh seventy one thousand & six hundred five rupees) be reimbursed to deposit in the treasury, to settle the issue. The payment for lunch and dinner of 120 persons on 16/02/2021 (16 Feb, 2021) was made by RC office Delhi, for the private party of engagement of son of LG Manoj Sinha at 7-Akbar Road Delhi. The contents of the complaint are clear & self explanatory as to how the state exchequer was defrauded, as letter of ARC dated 6th April 2021 clearly established that money was paid for the personal function of LG with full knowledge of his PS. There are other allegations of other such misuse of Govt. exchequer, by LG office. Mr. Sharma questioned why there is silence on such issues & allegations with prima facie evidence of payment from public money for engagement ceremony of the son of Lt. Governor.
Why there is complete silence from LG Office or any debate on such a serious issue in media?
Why no explanation from Hon’able LG Manoj Sinha & LG 0ffice after long wait and it is our duty to raise questions over such allegations leveled by a senior serving bureaucrat of J&K Govt. The said office has also mentioned some allegations in the Jal Jewan Mission (JJM) and insurance sector but no impartial investigations were ordered despite demand for CBI investigations. Why the PMO is silent over such serious charges against highest office in the JK UT.
The party demands that Lt. Governor should come out clear and clear over these issues immediately and a high level investigation should be held, failing which Congress shall persue the matter forcefully.
