As Do Deewane Seher Mein gears up for its February 20 release, actor Sandeepa Dhar is striking an emotional chord with her candid thoughts on sibling comparisons — a theme that lies at the heart of the film. Starring alongside Mrunal Thakur, Dhar explores a layered sister dynamic that promises to resonate deeply with audiences. Taking to social media, Sandeepa shared a poignant note that instantly connected with many. “Look at your brother/sister, how well they…” she began, adding that the unfinished sentence alone is enough to trigger memories for most people. Reflecting on how common such comparisons are — whether with siblings, cousins or even friends — she pointed out that the “Sharma ji ka beta” meme did not appear out of nowhere. The actor admitted she hadn’t fully understood what it meant to be the “favoured” one until she portrayed a sister dynamic that hit close to home. In the film, the characters Naina and Roshni are caught in a vicious cycle of comparison. “Roshni is told she’s not enough, while Naina is told she’s too much,” Sandeepa shared.
