A two-day conference on Renewable Energy and Sustainable Environment: Challenges and Remedies (CRESE-2018) concluded at School of Energy Management, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. Conference was attended by academicians and scholars from different parts of India. Those who delivered invited talks on the theme of the conference include Dr Deepak Pathania, Dr Sunil Dhar from central University Jammu, Dr. Paromita Chakraborty, SRM University Tamil Nadu, Dr. Alok Singh, Dr. Rajiv Pratap Singh, Banaras Hindu University, Dr. N. K. Sharma, Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, Navsari, Gujarat, Dr. R. K. Sharma, Manipal University, Jaipur, and Dr. Ravi Kumar.
The Valedictory session was presided over by Prof. V. Verma, Dean Faculty of Engineering and those who got the best paper and best poster award are Dr. Vinayak V. Pathak, Ritika Choudhary, Sakhi Gupta, Shrutika Saini from MRU, Faridabad, Karan Gupta from SMVDU, Naren Kesar, Sana Sharma, YCET, Alok Singh and Pradeep Kumar from GBTU, Greater Noida, Rahil Dutta and Joat Singh from Central University, Jammu, Shriya Gupta and Supriya Sharma from SMVDU.
Dr. Sanjeev Anand, Convener of the conference gave a brief summary about the conference. During the conference in all 53 oral and 54 poster presentations were made.
There were lot of deliberations on the thematic areas of the conference, scholars and the researcher shared their research work in the key areas. It was a good learning experience and the young researchers learned a lot and many of their queries about various aspects were addressed too. Dr. Vineet Tyagi said that Conference proceedings experience in-depth interdisciplinary work being carried out for the improvement of various renewable energy technologies for achieving sustainable environment. One of the senior participants Dr. Salgare shared his view points about the conference. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Yatheshth Anand and Dr. Ankush Gupta.
