New Delhi, May 19 :

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri told a parliamentary committee on Monday that there was no “nuclear signaling” by Pakistan during the conflict between the two countries.
Misri said that India’s conflict with Pakistan was always in the conventional domain and there was no nuclear signaling by the latter.
According to sources cited by the PTI, Misri reiterated that the decision to halt military actions was taken at a bilateral level amid some members raising questions on United States’s assertions about its role in stopping the conflict. On May 10, the DGMOs of India and Pakistan had reached an agreement on halting all military actions.
On questions raised by MPs about whether Pakistan used Chinese platforms in the conflict, Misri told it did not matter as India hammered neighbouring country’s air bases, sources said.
The meeting of Parliament’s Standing Committee on External Affairs, chaired by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, was attended by members, including the TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee, the Congress’ Rajeev Shukla and Deepender Hooda, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, and the BJP’s Aparajita Sarangi and Arun Govil. This comes in the aftermath of the Indian Armed Forces carrying out ‘Operation Sindoor’, launched in response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians, mostly tourists, on April 22.
Misri is briefing the panel on the “current foreign policy developments regarding India and Pakistan” on Monday and Tuesday. The Indian Army on Sunday shared fresh visuals of military action carried under ‘Operation
“Conflict with Pak was
Sindoor’, terming it as justice and not revenge. Under ‘Operation Sindoor’, the armed forces destroyed nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). A ceasefire was reached between the two countries on May 10.
Notably, the Centre has decided to send all-party delegations to 33 global capitals to brief leaders on India’s resolve to firmly deal with terrorism against the backdrop of ‘Operation Sindoor’.
