Former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla on Thursday claimed that both BJP and PDP threw dust into the eyes of their respective electorate by diversionary tactics to enjoy power but now people of this state are politically awakened and mature enough to see through their real game plan, which was to remain glue to power, despite contradictions and bickering on all sensitive issues arising in the state,” said Bhalla.He said previous government created mistrust and uncertainty all around and its continuance itself is full of uncertainty, although on every alternate day they reiterated the stability of their coalition despite opposed to each other on all issues. They cannot divert attention of the people from their total failure,” he said adding that people are aware of the compelling circumstances. The Coalition Government which was in the State that we earlier called as an “unholy or ethnic alliance” pushed the State into Governor rule and we openly held PDP and BJP responsible for this. Neither the people of the State are responsible for it, nor the Congress party”, he said.Bhalla cautioned the workers not to fall prey to the falsehood and divisive propaganda of the BJP and other forces over various current controversies.
Senior Congress leader said that Congress is well prepared for Assembly elections and expressed hope that Congress will emerge victorious as cheated and betrayed people of the State by previous PDP-BJP Government are very much clear to give mandate to Congress as they have realized by now that PDP-BJP Coalition Government miserably failed to live up to the expectations of the people. While interacting with prominent persons at Babliana in Gandhi Nagar Constituency in a public meeting organized by Satish Sharma Block President and Sunita Rani Sarpanch Babiana. Prominent among those present on the occasion include Shamsher Singh Ex Sarpanch, Bitu,Baba Paramjit Singh,Pinky ,Mohan Lal And others.Bhalla said that there is a strong resentment among the people against previous government as it has not fulfilled its promises made at the time of Assembly elections. Bhalla said “People are realising the futility of electing a government that was not only insensitive towards their problems but also responsible in adding to these on every front.”He said that BJP has failed to represent the sentiments and deliver the promises it made to the electorate and has been merely indulging in rhetoric to emotionally charge the people for their political interests. Asserting that Congress is capable of addressing grievances of all the sections of society, Bhalla asked the people to vote and support Congress candidates to ensure development of their respective areas. He cautioned people against nefarious designs of BJP which can go to any extent to win these elections.”BJP will not hesitate to adopt deceitful tactics to befool the innocent voters”, he asked the voters and exhorted the people to teach BJP a lesson for cheating them in the coming assembly elections.
While criticizing BJP, Bhalla said that agenda of alliance was nothing but an eye wash for the people and added that BJP has taken Jammu and Ladakh for granted and has failed to recognize the developmental priorities and represent the aspirations of the people. He said that BJP failed to represent the sentiments and deliver the promises it made to the electorate and has been merely indulging in rhetoric to emotionally charge the people for their political interests. He said the concern of people of the State and the entire nation is restoration of peace and normalcy by containing militancy in Kashmir valley and to address the current unrest which is taking toll of people, fresh recruitment and their increasing attacks, targeting security forces is a matter of great concern. He said that merely strong worded statements would not help to control the situation on the ground. Stating that the previous regime threw all rules and regulations to winds”, Bhalla said, high profile appointments were made without following the set protocol and appointed unqualified and undeserving candidates” to the plum posts corridors of power. Ridiculing BJP leaders for taking claims of initiating developmental activities, Bhalla said that all promising made by BJP leaders confined only on papers.
