In a grand display of stJammu East Cadre Welcomes Yogesh Sawhney as Congress NC Candidate for Upcoming Elections
Former Minister and ex-MLA from Jammu East, Yogesh Sawhney, today filed his nomination papers for the upcoming assembly elections. Representing the Congress-NC Alliance, Sawhney submitted his candidacy, reaffirming his commitment to serving the people of Jammu. The supporters gathered in huge numbers and joined his nomination rally. The rally included tour of the Jammu East Constituency, starting from Sidhra, passing through Panjtirthi, Chowk Chabutra, Purani Mandi, Shaheedi Chowk, Vivekanand Chowk, Gummat, finally concluding at JMC (RO) where nomination papers were filed. As a leader with deep roots in the region, his nomination marks a key moment for the Congress campaign in Jammu East.
During the rally, Sawhney received grand welcome from local residents at various locations namely Sidhra, Radio Station Panjtirthi, Police Station Panjtirthi, Upper Bazar, Tonthli Bazar, Bhairav Mandir where he stopped to offer his prayers, Tange vali Gali, Avnotri Gali, Gadadhari Mandir Gali, Chowk Chabutra, Pacca Danga, Khilaune vali Gali, Maha Lakshmi Mandir, Sabzi Mandi, Moti Bazar, Sabzi Mandi Chowk, Raj Tilak Road, Purani Mandi Chowk, Near Centre Basic School, Super Bazar, City Chowk, Kanak Mandi, Shaheedi Chowk, Residency Road, Kanjhi House, Vivekananda Chowk, Gummat Chowk, and Bus Stand before reaching the final point of the rally.
The people of Jammu East expressed their strong support for the Congress mandate by gathering in large numbers to accompany Sawhney during his nomination rally.
The enthusiastic crowd reflected the widespread approval of his leadership and his past contributions to the constituency. Local leaders and party workers also joined the rally, adding to the momentum of the event. Yogesh Sawhney’s nomination has been welcomed across the constituency, with residents voicing their confidence in his ability to address their concerns and drive progress in the region. He will now be starting his election campaign in the constituency, polling date is set on Oct 01.
