Congress projected burning issues of J&K in PM’s APM: Hari Singh

Hari Singh Chib, President District Congress Committee, Jammu Rural has apprised the party leaders of District Jammu Rural and B.C.C. R.S Pura about the issues highlighted by the party’s representatives during the recently held All Parties Meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the National Capital.
The Congress leader was addressing the Congress party workers’ meeting at RS Pura here today. The purpose of the meeting was to keep the party workers abreast with the latest developments on Jammu and Kashmir scenario in the All Parties Meeting.
While thanking the Party leadership including Sonia Gandhi, Rajni Patil, Ghulam Nabi Azad, GA Mir and Tara Chand for projecting the burning issues of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in the right perspective before the Prime Minister, Hari Singh informed the party workers that the Congress leaders grabbed the opportunity and diligently played its due role in pleading for restoration of the democratic process in this Union Territory which has presently no representative government of the people installed since long.
Enumerating the issues raised in the aforesaid meeting by the Congress leaders, the DCC Rural President said that the issues brought to the notice of Govt for immediate redressal include full-fledged restoration of Statehood to J&K; holding early elections to end miseries of people; job guarantee to local youth of J&K; land security and Rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits with full safety, security, dignity and honour in their ancestral homeland i.e. Kashmir Valley and the release of all political prisoners. He said that Congress further demanded the besides an economic package for the industrial houses claiming that more than 6500 industrial houses witnessed closure across J&K since the abrogation of Art 370 as a result of which the economy of Jammu and Kashmir received a major dent. He informed that in view of people of J&K suffering badly due to continuous ban on mining this issue was also highlighted during the meeting.
Hari Singh Chib appealed to the party workers to girdle up their loins and start making people of RS Pura aware about their issues highlighted by the Congress Party in All Parties Meeting in New Delhi.
Others who spoke in the meeting included Pawan Raina Secy PCC, Shashi Sharma Secretary PCC, S. Ravinder Singh Sr Vice President District Jammu Rural, Sat Paul Mandi and S Ajit Singh Vice President Distric Rural, Shyam Mehra President BCC R S Pura, Kuldeep Raj In-charge President BCC Miran Sahib, Chander Prabha DDC contested candidate, Jawar Singh, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Parveen Kumar, Kemat Singh, Subash Choudhary, Tarun Vaid and Virender Mehta.
Earlier, Hari Singh Chib Rural along with party leaders visited the residence of Ch Mohan Singh, Vice President District Congress Committee Jammu Rural and mourned the demise of his wife Daleep Kour.
The Congress leaders expressed grief over her untimely demise and prayed to God to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
