Congress workers today staged a strong protest demonstration against the central government and demanded the status of the state of Jammu and Kashmir at Vijaypur in District Samba.
According to the report, the protest was led by Rajan Sharma, senior congress Leader. A large number of congress activists gathered at main chowk vijaypur. They raised slogans and shouted against the central government. They alleged that Jammu Kashmir was one of the biggest states of India and this state once had ruled by King, prime minister and chief ministerial like post, but now this BJP has cut this state worth to a Principal Secretary level. Now a principal secretary rank officer is ruling over this state.
Demoting to union territory from the state is an insult to the people of Jammu Kashmir. They strongly condemn the act of central Government which they did on Aug5, 2019 (demoting to union territory from state) and we demand statehood for Jammu & Kashmir which was snatched by BJP led central government in august 2019.
Next to this Mr sharma said statehood is not our demand this is our right. A state that is very small from J&K on both population and area has still worked as a state. once the largest state whose area was once more than 2 lakh km before reorganization now been cut to union territory.
We never tolerate this humiliation. Mr. Sharma demanded immediate restoration of statehood, he said congress party nevertheless tolerated any further delay in restoration of statehood for J&K.
Mr.Sharma criticized the central Government on 4G issue; he said when the world is preparing for 5G us J&K people are still using 2G.He said in lockdown students are the most affected section of society due to absence of 4G. In lockdown, All schools and other institutions have now been shifted in online classes from classroom education, but at 2G speed this is not possible for students to take advantage of that and all students are not in this position that they can use broadband.
All business transactions and information sharing for business depends on the internet. He said in today’s world, the internet is essential for all types of work but the Central Government has deprived people from these basic necessities. This is very shameful for the central Government.
He demanded the immediate restoration of 4G with statehood.
