Habitual of fooling the innocent masses of India, Congress has tried to hoodwink the public once again by declaring that it will celebrate Panchayati Raj Diwas in Jammu & Kashmir, said Adv. Vibodh Gupta former MLC & J&K BJP General Secretary.
Former MoS Rashpaul Verma, J&K BJP Vice-President S. Varinderjit Singh, J&K BJP Spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan and J&K BJP Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra also accompanied Adv. Vibodh Gupta while he addressed media persons at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Congress leaders must clear their stand that why the Panchayati Raj system was deliberately kept so weak in the erstwhile state of Jammu & Kashmir while they relished the delicacies of power along with other regional parties of J&K, said Vibodh Gupta.
Gupta said that Congress leaders have tried to take the credit by announcing to celebrate the Panchayati Raj system but in reality it is the BJP that has strengthened the Panchayati Raj System at the grass root level in Jammu & Kashmir. Congress’s decision to celebrate Panchayati Raj Diwas does not have any relevance on J&K as in their time 73rd & 74th amendment was not initiated for the reasons best known to them. Congress, NC never cared for these and in their authorities the whole system was lying defunct. Now, the BJP has strengthened and rejuvenated the whole system by ensuring DDC and BDC elections and given the fruits to the public for which Congress party hoodwinked them for long 70 years.
Gupta further stated that on the first hand, local Congress leaders should also explain that why did they intentionally duped former PM Rajiv Gandhi in the state by resisting such major reformation in the state, and why now they have just risen from deep slumber to give him the credit, what is actually now gifted to J&K by popular PM Narendra Modi.
Gupta said, “Congress’s move to celebrate Panchayati Raj Diwas is just a deceit and they have done this blunder without doing any research; either they don’t have any knowledge or they intentionally want to make fool of others. Congress never had any intentions to strengthen Panchayati Raj System while the whole system today is ensured at the ground level by BJP only.”
