Jammu East former MLA Rajesh Gupta along with JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta and Deputy Mayor Purnima Sharma started the work of the construction of Flag Pedestal at Peerkho and also started the construction of community hall at Kashyapa Rajput Sabha Peerkho in Ward no. 3.
Mahant Peerkho Ravi Nath Ji was present and gave his blessings for the speedy implementation of the projects. The councillors of the area Narottam Sharma & Gopal Gupta were present on the occasion.
Estimated cost of the work is rupees 15 lakes and the fund has been provided by Rajesh Gupta former MLA Jammu east from his CDF.
The JMC officials who accompanied the leaders included Xen Arun Gupta, AEE Ashok Sharma and JE R.K.Koul.
The BJP leaders who accompanied the former MLA included Subhash Gupta, Naresh Pardhan, Amit Khanna, Vijay Mehra,Rajkumar, Rahul, Chamanlal and Manav Mahajan.
Kashyap Rajput Sabha President Ramlubhaya, Jeet Lal and Ashok Kumar were present on the occasion. Peerkho Akhara President Ramesh Sudan welcomed the guests and the proceedings were conducted by councillor Narottam Sharma.
Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta while speaking on the occasion said that Jammu is a blessed city as it has so many places of worship and Peerkho is a place of great religious significance.
He said that there is a plan to develop the Peerkho area on modern lines and create sufficient facilities for the pilgrims visiting the area.
Deputy Mayor Purnima Sharma also spoke on the ocassion and said that we are guided by the mantra of sab ka saath sab ka vikaas and we will not rest till we change the development profile of the city.
Rajesh Gupta while speaking on the occasion thanked Mahant Ravi Nath Ji for his blessings and good wishes and said that he always received great cooperation from mahant Ji when he was the MLA of the area.
