Jammu, May 12:
The BJP Corporator from Ward No 20 Rahul Kumar on Wednesday advocated for a four-pronged strategy to combat corona while steering door-to-door mopping exercise for ‘tracing and quarantining’ susceptible COVID positive persons in his area of responsibility falling under Gandhi Nagar locality.
Interacting with the residents during the survey which is being conducted in Jammu after the region witnessed unprecedented surge in fresh corona cases and virus related fatalities, the BJP Corporator said that four things should be taken care of while waging war against the coronavirus. He said that following the SOPs and guidelines is the foremost requirement to keep at bay the dangerous virus.
“Vaccination is must to defeat the COVID-19 contagion. Boosting immunity is another time tested measure to trounce the virus which came to this country from China and above all by remaining updated, positive and confident that the deadly virus cannot inflict any damage”, he said adding that these are the key factors which will ensure good health amid pandemic.
The BJP corporator was accompanied by the local BLO, Sandeep Gupta, BJP District Executive Member and Rachit Khosla Mandal Secretary Gandhi Nagar.
Rahul Kumar appreciated the concerted efforts of J&K Government to curb the transmission of the virus. He said that door-to-door survey will go a long way to segregate the ailing people from the healthy one thus reducing the chances of disease spreading to a large extent.
Kumar reiterated that taking vaccine shots is a must to save oneself from the wrath of coronavirus. He also urged the people to follow religiously the guidelines issued by the government to stop COVID-19 from wreaking havoc in the region. He categorically asked the people not to fall prey in trap of rumour-mongers as these unscrupulous elements want to vitiate the situation just to blame the government at a later stage.
He said that LG’s Administration is handling the crisis extraordinarily and stunning results have been achieved. He vowed to extend wholehearted support to J&K administration in its endeavour to eliminate corona germ from the region.
