Senior Congress leader and JMC Corporator of Ward No: 60, Rajni Bala kick-started the development work of improvement of graveyard by way of construction of Chowkidar’s room and laying of Kota stone flooring under the shed there here today.
It is pertinent to mention here that this graveyard is situated in Upper Paloura area of Ward No: 60.
Rajni inaugurated the aforesaid works in presence of the officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation including the engineers besides prominent persons and residents of this area. Among those present were Som Nath Sharma, Shahbaj Ahmad Khan, Virender Mehta, Tarun Vaid, Nazeer Ahmed( Jira), Mohd Hafeez, Sohbat Ali, Aftab Ahmed, Muneer Hussain and Mumtaz Choudhary.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the senior Congress leader Rajni Bala said, that keeping up with the party ideology of serving the people, she will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that her constituency gets fully developed and people of this area live a smooth life right from their first to last breath.
She said that the crematoriums and graveyards in any area should be properly equipped with all the necessary facilities especially in view of the fact that people visit these places to bid last adieu to their dear ones when they are in deep grief and distress. She said that the developmental work of improvement of the graveyard has been tendered for Rs. 16.21 lakh out of which Rs. 12 lakh stands already released and allotted. She hoped that the work will be paced up in the coming days and all the problems confronted by the people at this graveyard will get addressed very soon.
Rajni Bala assured the residents of Ward No: 60 of transforming this area in Paloura into a model ward by providing them the requisite facilities besides ensuring the major services at their door steps. She said that she would continue her efforts towards development of the area in future too.
Meanwhile the people of the area led by prominent citizens expressed gratitude to the senior Congress leader and Corporator Rajni Bala for relentlessly working to enhance the ease of living for the people in Ward No: 60. Recalling the holding of a camp recently in the area by her to provide SC, EWS, income certificates and land record copies at their door steps they lauded her endeavours in the service of people of this ward.
