Councilor Ward No 9, Suneet Raina visited Karan Nagar Extinction and inspected blacktopping of road patches going on at Sewerage Line and asked the executing agency to use quality blacktopping material in the developmental work.
During his inspection, he was accompanied by NBCC official, prominent persona and general public of the area. He said that earlier the same work was executed by using substandard material as the road got potholes very soon.
Pertinent to mention here that Councilor Suneet Raina had taken up that matter of sub-standard construction material used in the developmental works besides damaging the lanes and bylanes in his ward. He expressed his strong annoyance over the way the NBCC is repairing lanes damaged by the aforesaid company during laying of sewerage. After his intervention, the NBCC has carried out blacktopping of road patches going on at sewerage lines.
“After his intervention, the aforesaid damaged work was again taken up for renovation and blacktopping of these patches now underway,” Raina said and appealed to the people and prominent persons present to monitor the developmental works going on in the areas and ensure that quality material is being used for the construction purposes, besides appealing them to inform the concerned authorities if substandard material is being sued by any executing agency. The current blacktopping work is being executed by NBCC. On the occasion, people apprised Corporator Suneet regarding other public issues and grievances. He gave a patient hearing to the issues and assured them that their problems would be taken up with the concerned authorities for early and immediate redressal.
