Keeping up with the Union Territory Administration decision to conduct door to door surveys to identify suspect COVID cases and to verify the health status of the positive patients in home isolation, a survey was conducted in Gandli Panchayat of RS Pura today.
The survey team comprised of Patwari Vikas Khajuria, VLO Deepak Kumar, ASHA workers Savita Saini and Tripta Devi besides Aganwari Worker, Jyoti Devi. Sarpanch Gurdeep Saini of Panchayat Halqa Gandli was also accompanying the survey team.
The survey team commenced its work early in the morning and covered more than 200 households during the survey. While identifying the Coronavirus suspects in the visited areas, the teams also distributed COVID kits to the Corona positive patients who were undergoing home isolation.
It is pertinent to mention here that the database of households already generated on Swasthya Nidhi App or any other survey, apart from the electoral list available with the BLO concerned for household identification were used during the survey. Moreover due care was taken to ensure following mandatory provisions like presence of the local Patwari, beat constable, BLO, and a representative of the Health Department besides drawing supporting staff in the form of local teacher, Anganwari worker, Anganwari Supervisor etc. It needs a special mention that from the database generated by the survey teams the moderately or seriously ill or COVID suspected persons shall be referred to triage centers.
While people of the area lauded the efforts of the survey team in conducting the survey smoothly, Sarpanch Gurdeep Saini appreciated the efforts of J&K Govt for directing the door to door surveys across the UT that are required to be completed within three days i.e. from May 11 to May 13.
Meanwhile, the Sarpanch also appealed to the people to go for vaccination to their nearest vaccination centres at the earliest and also follow all the SOPs of Covid-19 announced by the authorities from time to time.
