The ongoing vaccination drive in the country is the largest in the world against the Covid-19 and everyone must take advantage of India’s scientific prowess under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bharatiya Janata Party leader and executive member of party’s Jammu and Kashmir unit Nitish Mahajan said on Friday. Mahajan also hit out at those propagating an ill conceived propaganda in the country, casting apprehension on the vaccination. “As the entire world suffered from the Covid-19 pandemic, it was India which took the lead from everyone else and developed a vaccine at a much faster pace and way cheaper price. This could happen only under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been leading the country in this battle, since day one. It was Modi government’s immense belief in capabilities of our scientists and continuous encouragement that has done wonders,” said Mahajan in a statement issued here today.
Lauding the decision of the Centre to focus on the frontline health workers in the first phase of this vaccination drive, Mahajan also noted with regret that a vicious propaganda is being run in the country against the government.
“Some of the corona warriors have been influenced by those running an ill conceived propaganda run by some elements who put their political gains over the interest of this country and its people,” he said, referring to media reports that some health workers have denied taking the vaccine shots. “The vaccine has been prepared under the close observation of top scientists of this country. Top doctors have volunteered to take this vaccine. Even some TV anchors have taken the vaccine to instill in public the confidence in the vaccine which has been prepared under the keen observation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself,” he said.
He appealed to the people to not fall prey to these mischievous elements. “Have faith in your doctors and government. Modi Ji’s approach of serving humanity by worldwide distribution must be taken in a righteous way,” he added.
