Cricket camp at KCSC concludes

A special Cricket coaching camp with ECB Level III coach Rodney Jones from UK concluded today at KC Sports Club (KCSC), here with valedictory remarks form the organisers and the coach.
Started on April eight, the 12 days long camp turned out to be a success with more than 350 young Cricket aspirants from J&K benefitting from the experience and skills of a seasoned coach, a handout issued by the Club, here today informed.
The trainees included those sponsored by the J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC) and Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS). Rest of them included students from KC Public School (KCPS) and from other educational institutions of the State.
The training during the camp comprised of intensive coaching sessions in the indoor Cricket Hall of the Club and on its outdoor cricket fields. All cricketing skills, batting, bowling, fielding and general fitness were imparted among the trainees with focus on individual needs. All young cricketers attending the camp were equivocally appreciative of the ever-helpful attitude of the ECB coach and benefitted immensely from his experience and skills, the handout mentioned.
Coach Jones, who returned to UK today, spoke affectionately and recalled fond memories of his coaching stints with young cricketers of J&K in the previous camps arranged by KCSC.
