JAMMU, JUNE 13
Chenab Valley Power Projects [P] Ltd. (CVPP) celebrated its 8th Formation Day on 13th of June, 2018. The organisation was incorporated on this day in the year 2011 for execution of 03 Hydro Electric Projects namely PakalDul (1000 MW), Kiru (624 MW) and Kwar (540 MW) on Chenab river basin in District Kishtwar of Jammu & Kashmir. The Formation day functions were organised at its Corporate office Jammu, Project/Site offices, Kishtwar and Camp Office, Faridabad.
On this occasion Sh. M Y Khan, Chairman-CVPP and Sh. M S Babu, MD-CVPP conveyed their best wishes to employees & their families and emphasized on the need for making well-co-ordinated efforts to take up the construction of the Projects. The programme was a combination of events by family members, dance group and orchestra team. A number of games for all members, especially for children were also organized.Contributions of all the employees was appreciated with emphasis to work with dedication and high spirits to overcome the impediments in the way for timely achievement of the goals set for the Company.
Year 2017-18 is very special for CVPP as it has shifted to its newly constructed building at Jammu and foundation stone of its largest project namely PakalDul HE Project was laid by Hon’ble Prime Minister on 19th May 2018 and construction activities are going on rapidly.
Similar function was organized at PakalDul, Kiru, Kwar HEPs at Chenab Nagar, Kishtwar followed by dinner cum Iftaar party. The function was attended by Sh. S H Zargar, General Manager-PDHEP, Sh. Virender Raina, General Manager-Kwar HEP, Sh. Virender Salman, Chief Engineer I/c-Kiru HEP and Sh. YogendraKotha, Chief Engineer I/c-DulHasti Power Station. The function was graced by Sh. Angrez Singh Rana, DC Kishtwar, Sh. AbrarChowdhary – SSP, Kishtwar and other senior officers from state Government.
