Part of the ongoing week-long voter awareness programme initiated by the Rural Sports Club (RSC) in association with Shiksha Niketan School, a cycle rally was organised involving young students at Satwari area of the city, here today.
The rally flagged off from Shiksha Niketan School, Jeevan Nagar by SP South, Vinay Kumar Sharma in the presence of Chairman Shiksha Niketan Ground of Institutions, Rameshwar Mengi and president RSC, Narinder Singh. Young boys on the cycle, carrying play cards with messages like power of vote, covered Gangyal, Diagiana, Nai Basti, Satwari CDA quarters along the canal road to culminate at the School premises.
Earlier, speaking to the participants, Viney Kumar Sharma appreciated the efforts of the organizers and also informed that such events play an important role in generating awareness among the masses. He also complemented that efforts of the organizers will definitely bring results in the shape of improved voting percentage.
