Dalit Sahitya Akademi confers national award to B B Bodhi

Recognizing the seamless endeavours and unrelenting contribution to ensure justice and uplifting the underprivileged sections of society, Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi on Saturday conferred national award to Bharat Bhushan Bodhi, Ex MLA and DDC Chairman Jammu District in a glittering function held at New Delhi.
Bharat Bhushan was handpicked by the Akademy to confer this coveted award for his selfless service in the field of social work and for his outstanding merit in the public life. He has the distinction of taking up social work and not stopping till the job undertaken is accomplished fully. It is an open secret that Bharat has always worked to realize the dream of Baba Saheb Ambedkar in making India a country in which equal opportunities are ensured to all and there is no prejudice or discrimination among people.
Bharat Bhushan was conferred with the aforesaid national award during 36th National Conference of Salita Writers organized by Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi at New Delhi.
Getting emotional while receiving the award, Bharat Bhushan said that the sole aim of his life is to work for people especially underprivileged as they need more support for survival and to lead a life of dignity. On the occasion, he vowed to work more diligently to achieve his aim and to eliminate injustice from the society.
