Stating that the graph of BJP has touched all-time high and it will come out to be more stronger in 2024 general elections, Jugal Kishore Sharma, party candidate from Jammu-Reasi constituency, said that the days of Congress are numbered and it will be completely wiped out soon in coming days. Addressing public meetings and interacting with the people during day-long road shows in Chowadi, Janipur, Sainik Colony, Purmandal Morh, Nai Basti, Ajit Nagar, Raipur Satwari, Roi Morh, Miran Sahib, Simbal and R.S.Pura, Jugal blamed Congress for discriminating with different sections of the society in Jammu and Kashmir and toying line of the votaries of autonomy and self-rule. He said that while Congress was in power at the centre for more than six decades and here in JK too, it headed state governments for decades but unfortunately, it had different yardsticks for different sections and never treated all equally. He was accompanied by BJP vice president Surjeet Singh Salathia, former minister Chander Prakash Ganga, former MLC Ch Vikram Randhawa, DDC Vice-Chairperson Suraj Singh, constituency incharge Balwant Singh Mankotia, Former Deputy Mayor Baldev Billawaria, District Prabhari Ayodhya Gupta, District President Rekha Mahajan, OBC Morcha National secretary Rashpal Verma, Advocate Ravinder Gupta, Ex corporator Sunita Gupta, Pawan Singh.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that gone are the days when Congress could garner public support on false and misleading slogans. The people repeatedly voted for Congress with high hopes, which never came true. He said that the people have now developed faith in the working of the BJP-led NDA government under PM Narendra Modi, as, during the last ten years, broad changes have been witnessed in different sectors.
“The refugees from West Pakistan had been agitating for grant of citizenship rights but no one cared, rights of the daughters of the soil were snatched on marrying outside the state”, Jugal said and added that the affected and aggrieved sections got justice from Modi government. The BJP candidate further said that zero tolerance towards terrorism, and reservation to STs, OBCs, and Economically Weaker Sections, have proved that the Modi government is concerned for peace, normalcy, and welfare of every section and cannot discriminate or appease anyone for vote bank politics. Jugal said that today’s Jammu and Kashmir is fast moving on the path of development, progress and prosperity as the Modi government has showered this UT with numerous mega and prestigious projects of infrastructure development as well as dozens of welfare schemes which, socially and economically, empowered the poor, needy and marginalized class. The credit for the restoration of peace, putting normal life on track, and massive development, goes to the Modi government and the people should come forward to express their gratitude to the PM by voting in favour of the BJP candidate and teach Congress a lesson by rejecting it in upcoming polls. OBC morcha state president Sunil Prajapati, Akash Chopra, Adv Dev Raj and others also accompanied.
