DBPS appeals PM to consider Gita Jyanti as International Day

Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha and other Social Originations on Sunday appealed to the Prime Minister to consider Gita Jyanti as International Day at par with other annual days like International Yoga Day, The Gita Jyanti as auspicous day.
Gita is an auspicious grant which attached the important of human living, human culture, human values to the mankind, irrespective of caste color and creed”, President of the DBPS Ved Parkash Sharma said this while addressing the meeting of activists of various social origination here.
Speaking on the occasion Advocate P.C Sharma threw light on the important and motive, lesion contained in this scared grant Granth Bhagwat Gita and appealed for popularized the teaching and preaching contain there in, which are strongly relevant day to day life.
Prominent Social activist B.S. Jamwal (Retd. Dy. Commissioner) who was also present on the occasion stressed on the need to inculcate, the sprit in Gita the holy granth among the youth in particular.
Sabha has also appealed to Railway Minister’s Piyush Goel to facilitate the running of special train on Jammu Allahabad link to accommodate huge number of pilgrims from Jammu & Kashmir in the most upcoming prestigious religious congregation of Ardh Kumbh Mela beginning at Allahabad from 14th January to 13th February 2019.
Sharma also requested government to recommend to the centre for immediate setting up of Minority Commission in J&K so that a long pending demand of minorities is fulfilled.
