UDHAMPUR, APRIL 10: In view of spike in COVID- 19 cases in the district, the Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib chaired a Google interaction meet with SDMs, BDOs and Tehsildars to discuss the control measures, including vaccination, testing and treatment of positive patients.
The DC said that in view of the surge of COVID-19 cases in the District, all the meetings in near future will be organized through virtual mode.
She directed the concerned officers to redress block /tehsil / sub divisional level issues of the block diwas on priority basis and project the remaining issues to concerned HODs and district Administration.
The DC appealed the public to adhere to the Covid-19 SOPs and no laxity will be tolerated and invite appropriate penal action in case of violations.
She exhorted upon all the people to wear masks, maintain social distancing, wash hand regularly, use sanitizer frequently, limit gathering as per Government directives being issued from time to time.
Keeping in view the prevailing condition of the virus, she directed all the officers to download C-Card from play store and prescribed RT-PCR testing on monthly basis. She warned that all entries in the government institutions be allowed on production of satisfactory C-Card records.
The DC stressed upon concerned officers to evolve an effective containment strategy for early detection of COVID cases for controlling the spread of corona virus in their respective areas. DC advised the public to follow the SOPs issued by the Central and UT Government from time to time.
