Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya chaired a meeting with senior officers of the Public Works Department to review status of road projects across different divisions.
The DC urged officers to strategise and prioritise works to ensure maximum efficiency and to meet public requirements effectively. He emphasised the importance of maintaining quality in all aspects of project execution and directed officers to prioritise works in a manner that addresses major public demands early in the project timeline.
Furthermore, Sachin Kumar stressed the need to address any hurdles or intentional hindrances swiftly and firmly, ensuring that targets are met and contractors are motivated to complete projects on time.
The DC further directed Sub-Divisional Magistrates to ensure quality maintenance and personally inspect a significant portion of the road length under their jurisdiction.
The status of Road projects in blocks including Nagrota, Suchetgarh, Akhnoor, Khour, Marh and city roads were reviewed on priority, along with other sector roads such as NABARD and CRF.
The meeting saw the participation of Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh, senior PWD officers and SDMs.
