In a considerate gesture to support grieving families, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, today disbursed Rs3.75 lakh as compensation under the J&K Road Accident Victim Fund.
The disbursement followed case submissions by ARTO Kishtwar, Tasleem Wani.
An amount of ?1 lakh each was disbursed to the legal heirs of three deceased road accident victims, while ?75,000 was given to a victim who suffered permanent disability.
The families who received compensation were Nandani Devi D/o Kewal Singh R/o Chitto Paddar, Yasir Hussain S/o Mohammad Hussain R/o Nagseni, Tahir Hussain S/o Ranjha R/o Keshwan and Khifitullah S/o Mohd Hanief R/o Chamoti (permanently disabled).
