As a part of the Road Safety month and with an aim to raise the awareness about the safety measures among the masses in general and the transportation community in particular the five days fitness mela which commenced on 15-02-2021 concluded today here at DC Office Kishtwar.
Deputy commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma was the Chief guest on the occasion.Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr Amir Hussain besides Account Officer Pardeep Sen, Inspector MVD Sanjeev Sen ,Drivers and other official remained present on the occasion. On the occasion,the experts from MVD and other concerned imparted awareness regarding the road safety measures among the participants besides the drivers and helpers were educated about the timely and regular checkup of the their motor vehicles in order to avoid the unprecedented breakdowns.Drivers were also appealed to shun the callous driving and following the guidelines issued by Govt from time to time. Online telecast of the address of the Hon’ble LG J&K Manoj Sinha was also facilitated on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner also issued 17 fitness certificates among the beneficiaries besides the free medical check up camp was also conducted for drivers and cleaners on the spot.
