Deputy Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana, convened a meeting to review the functioning of Revenue Department, here today.
A lot of issues pertaining to Revenue department like progress under digitalisation of revenue records, eviction of illegal encroachment of state land, jambandhis, Girdawari, implementation of Public Services Guarantee Act etc. were reviewed by Deputy Commissioner.
The DC directed all the Tehsildars to ensure submission of monthly statements /tour diaries on regular basis.
Besides, taking serious note of non submission of Patwar Halqa Diaries which were pending since long despite series of instructions, the Deputy Commissioner directed all Tehsildars to submit the Patwar Halqa Diaries within week’s time.
Deputy Commissioner said that the Patwar Halqa Diaries are gist of all records and profile of concerned Patwar halqas, as the same will serve as ready reckoner during any point of time.
He exhorted upon the concerned to expedite the pending land acquisition cases for disposal in a time bound manner.
The DDC directed the Tehsildars to bring copies of massavi and field book lying in record room of Jammu and Udhampur through office patwaries to expedite the land acquisition and other revenue related matters.
He exhorted upon them to expedite the updation of Jamabandis and Girdawaris as per targets fixed by FCR. He also asked the Tehsildars to ensure the presence of patwaries in the respective notified places of their jurisdictions.
Among others the meeting was attended by ADC, Pawan Kumar Parihar, SDM Marwah, Kesar Bhawani, SDM Padder, Rishi Kumar Sharma, Tehsildars of the district.
