Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal convened a meeting today in the Meeting Hall of the DC Office complex to review the progress of the development works taken up under Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) and the Aspirational Panchayat Development Programme (APDP).
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner evaluated the current status of key performance indicators across several sectors, utilizing data from relevant portals. The sectors reviewed included Health & Nutrition, Education, Agriculture and Allied Services, Basic Infrastructure, Drinking Water, Sanitation, and Social Development. Vikas Kundal emphasized on strict adherence to guidelines of the programs and regular updating of data on the portal to reflect accurate progress.
In a focused directive, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the Chief Education Officer (CEO) to engage with the Heads of Schools in the aspirational blocks. He mandated them to certify the availability of toilet and drinking water facilities in their institutions and highlighted the importance of increasing the transition rate of school-going children within these areas.
Furthermore, DC Kundal stressed the necessity for concerned officers to enhance efforts in areas requiring improvement. He called for immediate action to elevate the performance indicators and achieve the set targets. The Deputy Commissioner underscored the importance of channeling resources towards the modernization and overall development of the aspirational blocks and panchayats.
The meeting was attended by various officials, including the PO ICDS, ACD, District Statistics and Evaluation Officer, XEN Jal Shakti, ACP, CEO, CMO, CAO, CAHO, LDM Banks, AD FCS & CA, Tehsildar Balakote/Mankote, CDPO Mendhar/Balakote, BDOs, and other concerned officers.
