Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, emphasizing the importance of Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in strengthening the power infrastructure and providing reliable electricity supply to consumers, has urged the stakeholders to submit daily achievement report on the supply of essential equipments, including poles, transformers, conductors etc. received and installation made of the received material.
He directed the concerned officers while reviewing the RDSS to expedite the works and ensure timely completion of the projects, especially before the winter months during which the snowing and harsh weather hampers the progress.
It was reported that ED Batote has 36 Feeders under RDSS DPR, out of which 19 feeders have been surveyed and work on 8 feeders is ongoing, while 909 poles have been erected on the ground. The approved cost for the Electric Division (ED) Batote under RDSS is 113.15 Crores.
The DC also reviewed the progress of various ongoing projects, and issues faced by the department while execution of the projects on ground which include frequent ROW, Forest Clearances, and insufficient funds released.
